I. Feel. So. Excited!! I’m releasing my next single, “Year of the Ocean” in 10 days. It feels so good that the big day is almost here. This song was born in 2023, and I left it alone for most of 2024 before returning to it last year.
Year of the Ocean was produced by Simpatico, and vocally produced by me. This song is also mixed and mastered by yours truly (the first time in years that I’ve tried my hand at this seriously after learning a ton about the mix and master process last year). I have always loved the mixing process, and received positive feedback on my rough mixes from other songs. So, putting in concentrated time into this skill last year was a testament to my love for the production process.
My friend Skywalker Mike created the cover art for this as well – big shoutout to him. I couldn’t have asked for a cover that better encapsulated this song. (We made Lost + Found together last year, if you’re new here.)
