Liberation is my first song featuring my native language, Bengali. Through this song, I discuss the repetitive nature of war and conflict throughout history through the lens of the Bangladesh Liberation War of ’71. My song conveys and how violence and trauma impact generation after generation. But, it also conveys a hopeful message: those who become aware of this pattern will band together to try breaking the generational curses, as we have seen on the streets of Bangladesh as recently as 2024 during the student protests.
Here are a few still from the music video, and here’s the direct link to the video: Liberation. Be sure to check it out, and if you enjoy it, don’t forget to comment/like/subscribe — a little goes a long way. Love you and appreciate you ❤
