I meant to post this much sooner, but life has been more hectic than usual this time of year. However, I feel thrilled to have played another show on November 14th, this time with Breaking Sound LA at Employees Only — and it’ll likely be my last formal show of 2024 since we are drawing this year to a close in < 2 months (which feels surreal — 2025 here we come). I’m very excited to see what the new year brings music-wise, but that’s another chapter to discuss later.
On the Thursday night of the show, I’m was so beyond happy that so many of my friends and community came through to support. I lost count of ticket sales on Thursday, and that made my heart burst with gratitude. I appreciate you all so, so much. Being able to play a full set, all the while being surrounded by people who are dear to me just made me feel so grateful.
And to the loved ones who couldn’t make it IRL, I missed you. ❤

A few highlights from the show:
- I played HARDER for the first time live ever! That song brought me to tears every time I practiced it before the show, so this felt really special to me. This song has changed a lot in meaning over the years, and lately it has taken me down some really beautiful and untarnished memories.
- I also played my newest song, Liberation, for the first time live! It felt powerful breathing life into it in a live setting, while simultaneously seeing some of my friends from the music video/reels in the audience.
- My friends making me feel super fly snapping photos/video of me while I performed
- Reconnecting with an old friend/coworker, who also was the sound engineer — I really appreciated them helping me make my sound stand out in the intimate space at Employees Only.
- A menu with drinks named after each artist! Mine was called “Malsi’s Martini” (I am definitely not a martini person though haha)
